Oklahoma State University SGA

In every SGA election that I've watched, I'm sadden by the fact nothing is done to reach out to those in the Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder community who attend their campus.  Often times I'm told that they need to speak up but what if nothing is ever done and no outreach of any kind is made to the point that they feel like even if they said something that nothing would be done about it.  I want to help give those three populations a voice in this election because even though I may not be a student I do fall into each of those categories.  While I'm very happy I have received support from senators this semester, I want to make sure that doesn't stop.  I have a Left-Right Traumatic Brain Injury which has resulted in me having a learning disability along with sleep apnea and debilitating headaches that can last 24/7 w/out medicine and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It's not a fun game living with all three but I have learned what needed to be done and learned how to advocate in the process.  If you would like what I am doing so far, I have a page up at http://s-2-v.yolasite.com/ and hope to have some more of the state legislators who are running on there soon.  But I would be willing to create a page for the those of you who are part of the senate about what you would do to help students in the Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder community if you would answer the below questions.  I want to help connect you with students on campus.

1. In your years of SGA how often have you communicated or worked with students attending Oklahoma State University who lives with either a Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

2. Do you know a students attending Oklahoma State University who lives with either a Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

4. What will you do or do you have planned to reach out to students attending Oklahoma State University who lives with either a Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

5. Why should students attending Oklahoma State University who lives with either a Disability, Traumatic Brain Injury, or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder vote for you?
